Privacy Policy

GymBells collects no data. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, and nobody else, including us, can see it.

What the app stores

The app stores these on your iPhone, in the app's own storage:

• your programs, workouts, sets, reps and weights, and your workout history;
• the details you enter about yourself (age, height, weight and gender), which the app uses to suggest starting weights;
• your app settings.

None of this leaves your iPhone, except in the cases below that you start yourself. It is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer) if you use them, which Apple handles under its own privacy policy.

• Export. Export My Data saves a file where you choose. What happens to the file after that is up to you.
• Apple Watch. The Apple Watch app gets the workout in progress from your iPhone and sends the sets you log back to it, directly between your own devices.

What the app doesn't do

• No accounts or sign-in.
• No analytics, crash reporting, advertising or tracking.
• No third-party code that collects data.
• No servers of ours: the app doesn't send your data over the internet.

Unlock GymBells

Unlock GymBells is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the purchase and the payment under its own privacy policy. The app only asks the App Store whether GymBells is unlocked; we don't receive your name, your Apple Account or your payment details.

This website

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. Our own server keeps no access logs. If a request causes a server error, the server writes one line about that request to its system log, and that line includes your IP address. The site uses no cookies, no analytics and nothing loaded from other sites.

Deleting your data

Delete the app to delete all of its data. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete or hand over.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
