Questions
Where is my workout data stored?
Only on your iPhone. GymBells has no account and no server, and it doesn't send your data anywhere. See the privacy policy.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?
Deleting GymBells deletes its data, and it can't be recovered from us because we never had a copy. If your iPhone is backed up to iCloud or a computer, restoring that backup restores the app's data with it. You can also keep your own copy: Export My Data in Settings saves it to a file, and Restore from Export… brings it back.
How do I move my data to a new iPhone?
Use Apple's usual transfer: Quick Start, or restore the new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup of the old one.
How do I import a program?
Importing a program comes with Unlock GymBells. In the Programs tab, scroll to the Library and tap Import Your Own Program (before you unlock, the same page is How Importing Works). The page describes the file format, shows an example, and has a prompt you can copy into an AI chat to write a program for you. Tap Import a File at the bottom of the page and pick the program file (JSON) from Files. The imported program joins the Library like any other program.
I bought Unlock GymBells. How do I get it on another device?
Unlock GymBells is a one-time purchase with Family Sharing. On another iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account, or one in your family group, open Settings in GymBells and tap Restore Purchases.
How do I show my workout on the Lock Screen?
While a workout is in progress, GymBells shows it as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. If it doesn't appear, check that Live Activities are allowed for GymBells in the Settings app.
